Assisted Mode

Assisted mode is a simplified, full-screen wizard for lending equipment. It uses large text and one task per step, making it ideal for occasional helpers or volunteers who are not comfortable with the full cockpit.

Open it from the Assisted mode entry in the navigation bar. A step counter (1 / 3, 2 / 3, 3 / 3) is shown in the header at all times, and a Back button returns to the previous step (or to the cockpit from the first step).

note

Assisted mode only creates rentals. For sales, returns or consumables, use the cockpit.

Step 1 — Choose the Volunteer

The wizard asks "Who is the volunteer?" and shows a large search box. Type a name and pick the volunteer; if nobody matches you can create them on the spot. Once selected, their name is shown with a Change button, and the Next button becomes available.

Step 2 — Add the Items

The prompt reads "Scan the items to borrow, or search for them below." You can:

  • Scan an item's QR code or barcode — it's added immediately and the card flashes green to confirm.
  • Search by typing the item name in the large field, then tap a result to add it.

Added items appear in a list below, each with a quantity and a remove button. The scanner is active only on this step.

Step 3 — Review & Confirm

The final step summarizes the rental. Tap ✓ Confirm to record it. A Rental saved! message appears and the wizard returns to the cockpit automatically.

Offline Behavior
